MSU (3-1-1) opened the day's scoring early as freshman Lacey Latimer (Murray, Ky.) scored her third goal of the season on an assist by junior Jamie Roche in the fourth minute for a 1-0 lead.
UALR (1-3-1) came roaring back to score three first half goals in the 11th minute, 24th minute and 31st minute respectively and a 3-1 halftime lead.
The Racers pulled to within 3-2 as junior forward Theresa Reedy scored on a free kick in the 59th minute.
MSU evened things up just moments later as junior forward Jackie Thomas scored her fourth goal of the year in the 64th minute and a 3-3 score.
"Injuries are really hurting us right now," said fourth-year Racer head coach Mike Minielli. "We've got a bunch of kids busted up and we were forced to play some kids today that we had originally planned to redshirt this year. Hopefully, we'll be able to overcome all of the injuries and get better."
The Racers will play their final game of the Skyhawk Invitational on Sunday at Noon against Southeastern Louisiana at Skyhawk Field in Martin, Tenn.
MSU will next play at home on Friday, Sept. 19 at 4 p.m. as the Racers host IPFW at Cutchin Field.
