Lady Racers Compete At Dr. Mark Allen Old Timers Classic At WKU

Sophomore Lauren Wilson earned a 10th-place finish to lead MSU at the 22nd Annual Dr. Mark Allen Old Timers Classic hosted by Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, Ky.
No team scoring was kept for the event.
Wilson, a native of Louisville, Ky., covered the 6,000-meter course in 24 minutes, 19.36 seconds. WKU's Bonita Paul won the women's title with a time of 22:22.28.
MSU junior Audra Herndon (Boring, Ore.) finished 13th in the 44 runners with a time of 24:39.15, while sophomore Megan Rainville (Greenville, Ind.) was 20th with a 25:21.36.
Other finishers for MSU included sophomore Heather Vincent in 22nd with a time of 25:43.35; sophomore Trista Curtis in 23rd with a time of 26:10.29; freshman Amber Bevins in 28th with a time of 27:20.86; sophomore Brittany Renfro in 31st with a time of 27:36.00; and freshman Betsy Hall in 33rd with a 27:42.76.
Up next, Murray State will host the MSU Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 27 in Murray, Ky.
