Racers Fall 2-1 At Arkansas State

With MSU (3-3-3) leading 1-0, Arkansas State (4-4-0) scored two goals in the final five minutes of regulation to knock off the Racers.
After a scoreless first half, the Racers opened the scoring in the 77th minute when senior Michelle Fedor scored her third goal of the season on a cross from freshman Lacey Latimer.
The Racers held the lead until the 85th minute when the ASU evened things up as Shawna Sparks crossed the ball from the left corner, and the ball tipped off the hands MSU goalkeeper Karen Fitzharris and ricocheted off a MSU defender for an own goal.at 1-1.
The Lady Indians gained the lead for good just moments later in the 89th minute as Tiffany Hull scored the game-winning goal from 30 yards out on a give-and-go from Jen Widener.
Up next, the Racers host Evansville at Cutchin Field on Sunday, Sept. 28 at 1 p.m.
