The Murray State women's soccer team took a 2-1 lead early in the second half, but Arkansas State came roaring back with three unanswered goals. The Racers were able to cut the deficit to 4-3 with six minutes left, but couldn't get another goal, falling to the Lady Indians 4-3 at the Skyhawk Invitational in Martin, Tenn., today.

Senior forward Theresa Reedy opened the scoring, placing a penalty kick in the goal to give MSU a 1-0 lead in the 32nd minute. ASU tied the game with a goal by Lyndsie Stephens in the 39th minute to give the game a 1-1 halftime score.

Freshman Kara Carlile gave the Racers their second goal of the day on an unassisted drive in the 58th minute, but Arkansas State's Stephanie Ray scored twice in the next four minutes, then Jen Widener added a goal five minutes after that to give the Lady Indians a 4-2 lead.

Freshman Molly Wolfe booted in a pass from junior Jessica Fioranelli with 6:06 left in regulation, but that's where the score ended, 4-3.

Murray State will face Louisiana-Monroe on Sunday at noon at the Skyhawk Invitational.
