Neeley, Rainville are top two in Lady Racers' meet with TSU

The Murray State women's cross country team's Lindsey Neeley and Megan Rainville finished one-two at its dual meet against Tennessee State, but the Lady Tigers outscored MSU 27-32 on Saturday.

Neeley finished the 2-miles course in a time of 12 minutes, 53 seconds, and Rainville followed at 13:16.

Trista Curtis placed sixth with a time of 13:50, while Tiffany Cowan was 11th at 15:57 and Chantal Curtis was 12th at 16:10. Also running for the Lady Racers were JoEllyn Graham at 16:22, Chanel Morgan at 16:24, Kristen Murray at 16:37, Katie Fowlkes at 16:38 and LaShondra Durias at 17:46.

For Tennessee State, Rae'ven Richard was third at 13:31, while NaQuanza Alfred was fourth at 13:35, Felicia Jeffers was fifth at 13:45, Tierra Boyd was seventh at 14:09 and Rebekah Robinson was eighth at 14:24.

Also running for TSU were Tara Wallace at 14:26, Sharay Staton at 15:53 and Dominique Ward at 16:23.

The Lady Racers will next compete at the Arkansas State Invitational this Saturday.
