For the third straight ranking as posted at the NCAA statistics Web site, Murray State Lady Racer Ashley Hayes leads the nation in three-point baskets per game.
Hayes' average dipped a bit this week, going to 3.27 three-point baskets per game. She is closely followed by Oakland's Anne Hafeli, who is averaging 3.17 treys per contest. Others in NCAA's Division I averaging three or more three-point baskets per game include Vanderbilt's Abi Ramsey, averaging 3.08 per game, and Cotelia Bond-Young of Wake Forest and Hollie Davis of Belmont, each averaging an even 3.00 three-pointers per game.
Hayes also moved into the nation's Top 50 in three-point shooting percentage, hitting 39.6 percent of her shots (36-for-91), ranking 46th in the nation. Hayes' eight three-pointers made at Arkansas-Little Rock earlier this season ranks tied for second-most in a single game nation-wide.
