Lady Racers fall to second in free-throw percentage

The statistical rankins are issued every Tuesday by the NCAA.
Northern Iowa -- a Murray State opponent this season -- took over the top spot by a fraction of a percentage point with a .7855 percentage.
The Ohio Valley Conference has three other teams among the top 20 in free-throw percentage among the 324 ranked Division I teams. Samford ranks fourth at .765, Tennessee Tech is 15th at .750 and Eastern Illinois is 20th at .746.
Murray State also ranked among the best in the nation in other categories. The Lady Racers are 31st in scoring offense (71.9 points per game), 45th in three-point field goals per game (6.2), 72nd in fewest turnovers per game (16.0) and 95th in assists per game (14.6).
Murray State (7-12, 6-6 OVC) visits OVC rival Austin Peay on Thursday in a 5:15 p.m. game.
