MSU's Lindsey Neeley finished 54th after a race of 20:58. Paula Trinkle had a time of 22:05 and finished 115th. Amber Thomas was 186th after a time of 24:18.
Chavis said he's excited about the progress the MSU women's team is making.
“Our team has won two of three and that is great progress,” Chavis said. “I'm looking forward to see how we're going to grow as the season continues.”
There were 31 teams in the field and 234 runners.
