Scott earns OVC Newcomer honor

Junior forward Joi Scott earned Ohio Valley Conference Newcomer of the Week honors this afternoon for the week ending Feb. 12, according to a release issued by the league office.

Scott earned the honor -- her fourth of the season -- after scoring 27 points, grabbing nine rebounds and blocking three shots at Eastern Kentucky on Thursday. She went 12-for-17 (.706) from the field in that game, raising her field-goal percentage to .526.

Murray State returns to the court at Tennessee State, a game set to begin Thursday at 5:30 p.m.
