Lady Racers second in free throws

The Murray State Lady Racers remain among the best free-throw-shooting teams in the nation, ranking second among the 324 Division I teams in free-throw percentage at .766.
Northern Iowa -- an opponent of Murray State this season -- tops the list with a .786 percentage. Ohio Valley Conference rival Samford ranks sixth, while Eastern Illinois is 11th and Tennessee Tech 26th.
Freshman guard Amber Guffey ranks 27th in the nation with a free-throw percentage of .868, and is shooting .900 against OVC opposition.
Murray State ranks among the top 100 teams in the nation in a number of other categories as well. The Lady Racers are 36 in scoring (71.3 points per game), 55th in fewest turnovers (15.6 per game) and 59th in three-point field goals (5.9 per game).
