MSU basketball featured tonight on ESPN's 'Pride of the Program'

A season-long initiative by ESPN will feature the Murray State Racers tonight during the Kentucky-Tennessee game on ESPN. The series is called "Pride of the Program," and it will allow basketball fans a chance to learn more about the history of MSU basketball.

ESPN will air Murray State's 30-second segment during the media timeout after the 12:00 mark in the first half of the UK-UT game that begins at 6 p.m. Central Time.

A source with ESPN said that game situations may dictate moving the MSU segment to another time in the game broadcast.

ESPN's "Pride of the Program" segment celebrates a historic moment from each of the 326 Division I programs, aired in alphabetical order.

Each of the 11 OVC member institutions will be featured at some point during the season, which will offer fans a look back at a significant event in each school's history.

The segments will also be available throughout the season after the original air date via ESPN360, ESPN.com and Mobile ESPN.
