MSU's Joi Scott Named to All-OVC First Team-Newcomer Team

Scott, who is a 2005-06 All-Newcomer team selection, is making her first appearance on the All-Conference first team after averaging 20.3 points in 20 conference games to lead the Lady Racers.
The junior from Reynoldsburg, Ohio also led the Lady Racers with 8.6 rebounds per game.
Scott shot an incredible 55 percent from the field and led the team with 35 blocks.
She scored in double-digits in all but one game this year.
Scott's most memorable game came at Tennessee State Feb. 16 when she scored a Murray State record 43 points. She was 19-for-24 shooting from the field and grabbed a team-high 10 rebounds.
Her 43 points broke the program mark of 40 set in 1994 by Jennifer Parker.
