Women's Cross Country Wins Evansville Invitational

The Evansville Invitational served as the Racers' last tune-up before the Ohio Valley Conference Championships on Oct. 27.
The Racers finished with a total time of 1:33:43.49, with an average time of 18:44.70.
Sophomore Taylor Crawford finished in seventh place out of 124 runners for the Racers with a time of 18:33.01, while junior Alaina Zanin finished right behind her in eighth place, with a time of 18:39.49.
Katelyn Jones (18:43.96) continued her strong freshman campaign with an 11th place finish, with Asenath NaAman nipping at her heels with a 12th place performance and a time of 18:44.26. Kristen Miller (19:02.77; 16th place) gave
Kristin Reffett (20:02.71; 46th), Ashley Myszka (20:48.08; 61st), Emily Ormay (21:10.35; 71st), and Amber Thomas (23:03.07; 102nd) also all contributed to Murray State's first place finish, the first such finish this year for head coach Dereck Chavis.
