Robbins played from 1977 to 1980 under coaches Bill Furgerson and Mike Gottfried. The former tight end helped the Racers capture the 1979 Ohio Valley Conference Championship.
Robbins, who received his bachelor of science degree in mathematics and MBA from MSU, is president and CEO of Security Benefit Corp., a national financial services, retirement plan and investment company.

During 11-on-11 play, the offense moved the ball consistently but the defense made the stops when it mattered the most and kept the offense out of the end zone.
Josh Jones picked up 20 yards on an outside run. Shane McCleskey caught a 15-yard pass down to the five yard line.
On third down from the 15 yard line, Taylor Lanigan and Koji Farrington broke up a pass in the end zone. DeAngelo Nelson made a diving catch in the end zone on fourth down but was out of bounds.
Moments later, Lanigan made the offense pay for a bad snap on a field goal attempt. The safety picked up the bobbled ball at the 50 and returned it for a touchdown.
During the offense's station work, players went through a series of drills designed to improve ball protection and breaking through first contact.
The Racers' final spring practice before the 2007 Spring Game will be held on Friday at
