9/28/2007 5:00:00 AM | Cheerleading
Murray State cheerleading spent a day recently at the Buddy Walk for Down syndrome in Paducah, Ky.
The cheerleaders participated in face painting with the children and spent the afternoon with them. The exhilaration and glee on the kid's faces was a heartfelt experience.
After a little work and a ton of play, the MSU cheerleaders led the people that had gathered in a few cheers in support of the Buddy Walk.
The event took place at Paducah's Noble Park.
MSU cheerleading has also been involved in volunteerism on a nationwide basis recently when they learned of the Nikkole Taylor Memorial Scholarship Raffle in Wilmot, Wisc. The raffle was the start of a scholarship fund in honor of the cheerleader and her mother and cousin who were killed in an auto accident. The MSU squad participated in the raffle and sent their condolences to the Taylor family.
