Women's Cross Country Runs at Greater Louisville Classic

The Murray State women's cross country team returned to action for the first time in two weeks Saturday, competing in the Greater Louisville Classic, hosted by the University of Louisville.
The women finished 16th out of 28 teams, competing in the 5k race.
Katelyn Jones led the pack for the Racers, finishing 45th out of 239 runners, with a time of 18:37.21. Taylor Crawford also posted a strong showing for the Racers, finishing in 84th place with a time of 19:15.72. Freshman Asenath NaAman came in 95th place with a time of 19:21.84, while Kristen Miller finished in 105th place with a time of 19:28.42.
Junior Alaina Zanin ran in 130th place with a time of 19:41.56, and Kristin Reffett finished with a time of 21:28.03. Emily Ormay (21:57.22), Ashley Myszka (22:29.39), and Amber Thomas (24:43.58) also competed for the Racers.
The Racers' total time was 1:36:24.75, with an average time of 19:16.95.
The Racers return to action on Oct. 13, when they travel to Evansville, Ind. for the Evansville Invitational.
