
Racer Soccer Out-Shoots North Dakota State, but falls 2-0

It was a day of missed opportunities at Cutchin Field when the Murray State Women's Soccer squad dropped a 2-0 match to visiting
“We're learning what we need to do to win games,” MSU Head Coach Beth Acreman said. “We're very young in some areas.”
The Racers spent much of the first half operating in the Bison side of the field.
In the 22nd minute Katie Wilson's kick sailed just wide, and in the 37th minute, Sophie Hargreaves' corner kick glanced off the NDSU cross bar.
The half ended in a scoreless tie.
In the second half, MSU goalkeeper Tara Isbell made a leaping save in the 49th minute.
Moments later in the 51st minute,
In the 68th minute, Isbell made an aggressive save coming out of the net to make a sliding stop to keep the match 1-0.
MSU had two more good scoring chances, but could not get the tying goal. Kalli McCoy had a shot from 20 yards go wide, and
The Bison scored another goal in the 81st minute to make it a 2-0 final.
“I'm not disappointed in our effort,” Acreman said. “I know we need to evolve as team tactically. We've got to be patient, good things will come.”

The Racers return to action next weekend with a pair of home matches at Cutchin Field. Friday at 3 p.m. MSU hosts
