Murray State Cross Country Teams Persevere in Mizzou Cross Country Challenge

Both the Murray State men's and women's cross country teams finished third in the Mizzou Cross Country Challenge. The top finishers for the Racers were Jordan Nikolaisen with a time of 28:35.06 in the 8k race and Karissa Magnuson with a time of 20:00.36 in the women's 5k.
“Both teams ran a challenging meet, competing against some of the harder teams in the country." Said assistant track and field coach Chris England. "The course was challenging and the wet weather made the course muddy and slick. Both teams persevered and finished 3rd overall in both races.”
Taylor Crawford (20:08.32), Asenath NaAman (20:17.74), Alaina Zanin (20:28.07), Katelyn Jones (20:38.03), and Bridget Stichnot (20:52.51) finished within the top twenty out of forty racers. The total time for the women's team was 1:41:32.52.
Andrew Beckman (29:45.60), Theron Chalepah (29:50.97), Jack Findley (30:07.11), and Andrew Smithson (31:29.73) finished out the top five runners for the men's team. The men finished with a total time of 2:29:48.47 and an average time of 20:18.51.
The men's and women's cross country teams will compete again Saturday, September 27th at the Saluki Invitational in
