Murray State women's basketball student-athlete Rachel Isom was named the winner of the Pepsi Athlete of the Week award for the period of Nov. 16-22.

Isom, a sophomore from Cleveland, Tenn., averaged 21.5 points per game last week in two Racer wins over Mid-Continent and Evansville.

She started with a 17-point night against MCU when she hit 5-of-11 shots from the field including 4-of-8 from three-point range.

Isom followed with with a 26-point performance last Saturday against Evansville where she hit 10-of-18 from the field including 4-of-9 from three-point range.

For the week, Isom was 15-of-29 from the field for 51 percent.

The MSU women's team is 4-0 and hits the road this week to play in the Georgia State Thanksgiving Tournament in Atlanta, Ga. MSU takes on the GSU Friday at 2 p.m.
