Schwab Named OVC Player of the Week

Sophomore Murray State women's basketball player Mallory Schwab earned her first conference honor, as she was named the Ohio Valley Conference Player of the Week for Dec. 28 for her performance against IUPUI.
Schwab tallied career highs in points (19), rebounds (7) steals (3), field goals made (7) and three-pointers made (4) in the win over the Jaguards. She shot 77.8 percent from the field while hitting 66.7 percent of her three-point attempts. Schwab also recorded two assists and one block.
The Racers will play in their final non-conference game of the 2009-10 season, Tuesday, Dec. 29 in Huntington, W.Va. when they take on the Thundering Herd of Marshall. Game time is set for 6 p.m. (CST) at Cam Henderson Center.
