Moore Named Pepsi Athlete of the Week

After hitting for the cycle and collecting a pair of four-hit games in the series victory over Saint Louis, freshman Colton Moore has been named the Pepsi Athlete of the Week for the week of March 8-14.
Moore (Bloomington, Ill.) put his name in the record books as he hit for the cycle in the series opener to help the Breds put an end to a seven-game losing streak. After reaching on a fielder's choice in his first at bat, Moore delivered a two-run double in his second. He tripled to left center in his third at bat, and followed it up with a two-run single to right center his next plate appearance. He ended his day by belting a two-run homer to left center in the bottom of the eighth to cap off his career-best six RBI day.
He was not done for the weekend as he came back Saturday and went 2-for-4 with a double. On Sunday, Moore had his third career four-hit day as he went 4-for-6 with a pair of doubles and an RBI.
For the weekend, Moore went 10-for-16 with four doubles, one triple, one home run and seven RBIs.
