MURRAY, Ky. - Kristofer Hokenson became the second Racer to win MVC Player of the Week in the 2026 season after a four-homer week, highlighted by three home runs on Saturday at Evansville.

Hokenson's three homers marked the first time a Racer has had a three-home run performance since joining the MVC, and the first since Bryson Bloomer and Drew Vogel both accomplished the feat on April 23, 2022, versus Eastern Illinois.

Hokenson, in his first MVC weekly award, joins Conner Cunningham with an MVC Player of the Week honor.

Hokenson slashed .462/.563/1.385 across the week, while leading Murray State with 8 RBIs in three games played.

Hokenson added two walks while striking out just once over the weekend and tallied an outfield assist, his second of the year, both coming in the month of May.

Hokenson and the Racers are set to begin the MVC Tournament, with Game 1 slated for 3 p.m. Wednesday against Illinois State at Johnny Reagan Field at Taylor Family Park.
