This week the OVC started a promotion asking for fans of all league members to submit photos of themselves supporting their favorite OVC team.
The OVC is giving away a one-year subscription to OVCSports.TV, the league's premium web streaming service to one lucky fan.
The promotion is intended for fans to showcase their love of OVC schools and sports while capturing the spirit of intercollegiate athletics. The OVC wants photos of fans showing off their schools colors and spirit, either at an OVC sporting event/tailgate/pep rally, around campus or at a watch party.
There are several ways fans can submit their photos for the contest. Fans can attach photos to the league's Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/ovcsports), submit photos via Twitter to @ovcsports, or by emailing them to ovcmediarelations@gmail.com.
The deadline to submit photos is Thursday, Sept. 30. After reviewing all submissions at least one winner will be chosen from the fan(s) who captured the spirit of intercollegiate athletics and who were the most creative. A winner will be announced on Oct. 4.
All photos should follow NCAA rules (which prohibit the use of student-athletes in the photo), and contain no objectionable content (such as alcohol, smoking, firearms, violence or nudity) or be defamatory to any individuals or groups. The OVC reserves the right to remove photos at any time that are not in compliance with the guidelines of the contest.
Now in its fifth year OVCSports.TV is a venture with NeuLion and allows fans to access live and on-demand streaming video and audio of all conference matchups on their home computer. The premium Web site was launched in July 2006 and streamed over a thousand events in its first four seasons, including all Conference matchups in football and men's and women's basketball as well as select baseball, soccer, softball and volleyball games and OVC Championship events.
