Murray State Women's Tennis Coach Kara Amundson has announced the signing of Erin Patton to the 2012-13 team. Patton is a native of Memphis, Tenn., and has been playing for Briarcrest Christian for the past three years and regularly competes in USTA Junior tournaments.
“Murray State women's tennis is getting a veteran competitor in Erin Patton,” said Amundson. “She has worked incredibly hard on the courts and in the classroom to put herself in a position where she will come in and have an immediate positive impact. I am ecstatic to have Erin join Racers Tennis.”
Patton finished in the top-5 in the region the past three seasons, including a second-place finish in her junior year. She has qualified for the TSSAA State Championships as a freshman and a junior and was recently chosen to represent Tennessee in the Southern Junior Cup. The Tennessee team finished third out of nine southern states in the tournament.
