Football Adds Four During Mid-Year Signing Period

Murray State head coach Chris Hatcher has announced the addition of four players on the first day of the mid-year signing period. The players will enroll in classes in January and go through spring practice with the Racers.
The Racers strengthened their interior lines as they added offensive lineman Hunter Hogan, defensive end Adrian Dinkins, and defensive tackles Kamalie Matthews and Anthony Payne.
Hunter Hogan, OL, 6-2, 290, Tyler, Texas (Tyler Junior College)
Played for head coach Danny Palmer at Tyler Junior College...helped the Apaches to a 7-4 record in 2011...earned second-team all-SWJCFC honors...played for head coach Mike Owens at Robert E. Lee High School...earned first-team all-East Texas honors as a senior after helping the Red Raiders rush for 2,613 yards and 30 touchdowns.
Adrian Dinkins, DE, 6-3, 260, Ridgeland, Miss. (Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College)
Played two seasons for head coach Steven Campbell at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College...helped the Bulldogs to a 10-2 record and a MACJC South championship...team defeated Blinn College in the 2011 Mississippi Bowl...played for head coach Kenny Burton at Ridgeland High School.
Kamalie Matthews, DT, 6-2, 300, Lithona, Ga. (Hutchinson Community College)
Attended Hutchinson Community College after playing his prep ball for head coach Ronnie Fleetwood at Redan High School
Anthony Payne, DT, 6-2, 300, Leroy, Ala. (Northeast Mississippi Community College)
Played two seasons for head coach Ricky Smither at Northeast Mississippi Community College...finished sophomore season with nine tackles as the Tigers finished 6-3...earned first-team all-state MACJC honors as a freshman...finished season with 50 tackles, including 13 tackles-for-loss and six sacks...played for head coach Danny Powell at Leroy High School...led Bears to three-straight state Class 2A state championships...finalist for ASWA Mr. Football and ASWA Lineman of the Year awards in 2008...named All-State as a defensive lineman,..rated a 2-star prospect by scout.com and rivals.com.
