Robinson and Winfrey Earn All-OVC Honors

Robinson was named to the All-OVC Second Team after leading MSU with 17.9 points per game in conference action. The Beaver Dam, Ky., native also added 5.8 boards per game, a team-best 48 assists and 24 steals. The 5-8 guard shot .379 from the field, .348 from beyond the arc and .856 from the charity stripe.
Winfrey, an All-Newcomer Team selection, was a stable force across the court for the Racers in 2010-11. The Marion, Ark., native averaged 12.0 points and a team-best 9.9 boards per game. The 5-10 forward added a .456 shooting percentage, 19 assists and 12 steals.
Robinson is the first MSU sophomore to earn all-conference honors since 2006-07 when Amber Guffey earned her first of three-straight honors. Winfrey joins Joi Scott (2005-06) as the only other member of the Racers to earn all-newcomer honors since the category was started in 2003-04.
MSU starts its postseason action, Wednesday, March 2 at Municipal Auditorium in Nashville, Tenn. The Racers are scheduled to face Austin Peay at noon in a first round game of the 2011 OVC Championship.
