Jacksonville State belted three home runs in handing Murray State a 20-7 defeat in the opening game of a three-game Ohio Valley Conference series Saturday afternoon at Reagan Field.

The Breds (12-16, 3-3 OVC) answered back in the home-half of the inning as Jacob Rhodes singled to right field and went to second on a passed ball. A single to center from Paul Ritzheimer put runners on the corners for Cody Larson two-run triple into the gap in right center.
JSU loaded the bases with two out in the third and a wild pitch plated one run before Michael Bishop delivered a two-run single to center field.
The Gamecocks broke the game wide open in the fourth and fifth innings as they plated seven runs, including two-run home runs by Ben Waldrip and Sam Eberle.
