Morris White Named Marketing & Promotions Director

Murray State Associate Director of Athletics for External Affairs Paul Bubb announced the hiring of Morris White as director of marketing and promotions.
White joins the Racers from Northwest Missouri State in Maryville, Mo., where he was the director of athletic marketing, promotions and licensing since 2006.
"I am extremely excited to join the Murray State athletics staff,” White said. “I look forward to building relationships with the Murray community, our fans, student-athletes, coaches, and supporters.”
“While we had an impressive group of candidates with great experience, Morris stood out with his enthusiasm and knowledge of Murray State,” Bubb said. “I'm excited to see Morris bring his ideas for Racer Athletics to reality and help build our fan experience here at Murray State.”
While at Northwest Missouri, White was in charge athletics corporate sponsorships, interns, and licensing programs. He also coordinated all game day promotions and events. Under
White's leadership, Northwest Missouri won 13 national awards in four consecutive years from the National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators. He formed The Green House, a student-only cheering section at home athletic events.
In 2010, White graduated from the NCAA Leadership Institute for Ethnic Minority Males and Females. He also served as a facilitator for the 2009-10 NCAA D-II Leadership Academy and 2010-11 NCAA Student-Athlete Leadership Forum.
White was a standout football student-athlete at Northwest Missouri where he was a four year letterwinner at wide receiver and kick returner for the Bearcats from 2001-04.
White earned a bachelor's degree in psychology with a double minor in speech communication and health education in 2005 and a master's degree in health and physical education with an emphasis in athletic administration in April from Northwest Missouri.
A native of St. Louis, Mo., White is engaged to Kari Hudson.
