Racers Drop Heartbreaker at EIU

Meagan Radloff scored her first goal of the season in the 80th minute as Murray State drops a heartbreaker on the road to Eastern Illinois on Sunday afternoon 1-0.
The Racers (3-10, 1-5 OVC) recorded 15 shots in the game, their highest output in OVC play this season. Veronika Pribyslavska led MSU with six shots in the contest, including a team-high two shots on goal. Julie Mooney also had two shots on goal and four overall in the loss. Murray State recorded seven shots on goal as a team.
Racheal Foxley, Bronagh Kerins and Taylor Stevens each had a shot on goal in the match. Yi Du got the start in goal for the Racers and recorded a season-high seven saves. Emily Hinton recorded the seven-save shutout for the Panthers.
Weather conditions in Charleston were not ideal as the game was played in strong winds with wind gusts reaching over 30 MPH.
The match was the Racers' final road contest of the season as they will play their final four contests at Cutchin Field. Next up for MSU will be Jacksonville State as the Gamecocks come to town on Friday for a 3 p.m. kickoff. The Racers will also host Tennessee Tech on Sunday.
