Racer Student-Athletes Participate In Murray Middle High Attendance Day

Murray State University Athletics partnered with Murray Middle School to celebrate their high attendance day at the school (Sep. 18).
MSU student-athletes from football and men's basketball along with the Racer Cheerleaders joined the kids at Murray Middle for the annual event.
The day started with the Racer men's basketball team talking with the children over breakfast and then Racer football student-athletes spent time with them at lunch where they signed t-shirts and assignment notebooks while stressing the importance of going to school every day and doing the 'right' thing.
The day ended with a school-wide pep rally joined by Adam Kiesler, MSU Assistant Track & Field/Cross Country Coach who spoke about how important school attendance is. The MSU Cheerleaders capped off the day helping recognize students with perfect attendance by giving out certificates of accomplishment.
Recently, the Kentucky Board of Education named Murray Middle School first in the state for achieving perfect attendance amongst its peer institutions.
