11/7/2012 8:51:00 AM | General
Needline of Murray & Calloway County
It's time for the Murray State Athletics 7th Annual Canned Food Drive, spearheaded by the MSU Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).
This important effort by MSU student-athletes benefits the Murray/Calloway County Needline and the MSU SAAC invites all Racer fans to get involved and help Needline stock its shelves at this important time of the year.
The food drive will collect items until Nov. 17, with collection posts at each of the Racer home athletic events or fans may bring food items to the MSU Department of Athletics offices located on the 2nd level of Stewart Stadium. Any non-perishable food or household items (i.e. soap, laundry detergent, toilet paper, etc.) for donation will be accepted.
The SAAC's annual canned food drive initiative is highlighted by a special promotion for Racer Basketball fans for women's and men's doubleheader on Friday (Nov. 9) when the Racers' women host WKU at 5:15 p.m. and the men play Brescia at 7:30 pm. Fans that bring two canned items and purchase one ticket will get a second ticket for free.
Please help reach our goal of 10,000 donated items. Monetary donations are welcome in lieu of items to purchase eggs and support the OVC “Hoops for Heroes” service project.
See the game schedule below of events where canned food items will be collected.

Nov. 9 Men's Basketball vs. Brescia (7:30 p.m.) CFSB Center
