Coaches begin to get settled in the office lobby near the fax machine.
7:19 a.m.
Fax machine rings with first fax of the day. Recruiting coordinator Keith Hatcher set to grab off the machine.
The fax has been confirmed and it is George Rogers Clark running Pokey Harris. Harris was named the District 6-5A Player of the Year after rushing for 1,943 yards and 18 touchdowns.
7:33 a.m.
The fax machine is active again.
The second member of this year's signing class is John Hardin wide receiver Justin Harness. A two-star recruit by Scout.com, Harness rushed for 1,562 yards and 22 touchdowns, while aslo catching 29 passes for 447 yards and seven touchdowns.
7:44 a.m.
The third member of the signing class is Memphis East offensive lineman Corey Gammon. He blocked for a 2,000-yard rusher and registered 53 pancake blocks.
7:48 a.m.
The faxes are starting to come through. The fourth and fifth members of the signing class are Smyrna teammates T-Ray Malone and defensive back Brandon Hathaway. Both players earned all-region honors and considered a pair of the top players in Middle Tennessee.
7:54 a.m.
We reached six in the first hour as Currituck County running back Marquise Grizzle joins the signing class. Grizzle put up video game numbers last season by rushing for 3,058 yards and 50 touchdowns.
8:12 a.m.
The fax machine is active again as John Hardin defensive lineman Hunter Holloway joins the recruiting class. Holloway was a second-team all-state selection in helping the Bulldogs to a 13-1 record.
8:39 a.m.
After a few minutes of down time, the fax machine rings again with the addition of Blount wide receiver Janawski Davis. He finished his senior season with 57 catches for 957 yards and 12 touchdowns.
8:45 a.m.
Three-start defensive tackle Jerome Davis officially became a Racer. Registered 22 sacks in high school and was rated as one of the top 75 players in the state of Georgia.
8:54 a.m.
Glascow athlete Jalen Sublett adds his name to list. Sublett rushed for 2,251 yards and 28 touchdowns in leading the Scotties to the 2A state championship game.
8:56 a.m.
Defensive tackle Zach Dean has faxed in his NLI. Dean earned all-state honors after recording 22 tackles-for-loss and 10 sacks last season at Central High School.
9:12 a.m.
The third wide receiver joins this year's signing class as Gateway Tech's Paul Rice sends his NLI. Rice was the public high school player of the year after throwing for 2,037 yards and 26 touchdowns, while rushing for 1,678 yards and 16 touchdowns.
9:14 a.m.
Two-star quarterback KD Humprhries adds his name to the list after throwing for 3,500 yards and 27 touchdowns at Jefferson Davis High School.
9:55 a.m.
The 14th fax comes through with wide receiver Jordan Morrow's name attached. Morrow is a speed wide receiver/kick returner from Contra Costa College.
10:14 a.m.
Southwest Mississippi Community College cornerback Josh Manning makes it official as he signs with the Racers. Manning was an honorable mention all-state selection after recording 31 tackles, two interceptions and four pass break-ups.
11:03 a.m.
The final signee for day arrives in three-star running back Marcus Holliday. The Fairley High product was the District 16-AAA Offensive Player of the Year after rushing for 1,350 yards and 19 touchdowns in just eight games.
