The Murray State football team put on the pads for the first time in nearly two weeks as the Racers went through a workout Thursday afternoon on the turf at Stewart Stadium.
“I thought we started a little slow today, but fortunately as the practice progressed we picked up our intensity somewhat,” said head coach Chris Hatcher. “We got a long ways to go, but I see some good things out of the team right now.”
The Racers ended practice the way they do every day with Bandit. On the third play, Duane Brady caught a pass in the flat and did the rest as he raced 75 yards for a touchdown.
The Racers return to the field tomorrow afternoon at 4 p.m. The team will hold its main scrimmage of the Spring Saturday morning at 11 a.m. at Stewart Stadium. All practices are open to the public.
