Racers Return to Practice Amidst Hot Temperatures

The Murray State football team returned to practice Monday afternoon amidst temperatures reaching nearly 90 degrees. Monday's practice was geared back and focused on fundamentals.
“We geared back a little bit today,” said head coach Chris Hatcher. “We worked a lot of fundamentals and cut back the length of the drills. I thought our attitude was good and I thought we had a good scrimmage. Going back and watching the tape, offensively we made some good plays, and defensively we looked like we were much better in our fits and the tackling part of the game.”
MSU continued to do a lot of individual work. The offense and defense came together to work on inside run and skelly, before practice ended with a short bandit period.
Redshirt sophomore Jordan Benton put an exclamation point on the end of practice as he connected on a 55-yard field goal on his final kick.
