Robinson Named to CFPA Defensive Line Award Watch List

2012 CFPA Defensive Line Watch List
Murray State senior defensive end Kevin Robinson has been named to the 2012 College Football Performance Awards Defensive Line Award Watch List. Robinson is the second Racer to named to the watch list, joining All-America quarterback Casey Brockman.
Robinson (Silver Spring, Md.) made an impression in his first season as a Racer as he led the Ohio Valley Conference with seven sacks. He appeared in all 11 games, seven starts, and finished the season with 36 tackles, 10.5 tackles-for-loss, two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and six quarterback hurries.
He got stronger as the season went on as he had 5.5 sacks and seven tackles-for-loss over the final five games. He began the stretch with 1.5 sacks against Eastern Illinois, but more importantly, forcing a fumble and recovering it in the final minute to preserve the Racer victory. He followed it up against Eastern Kentucky with a sack, forced fumble and a pair of quarterback hurries.
Robinson may have saved his best game for last as he recorded a season-high eight tackles, three tackles-for-loss and two sacks in the season-finale against Southeast Missouri.
