Miller Earns Third-Straight OVC Newcomer Honor

Murray State sophomore quarterback Maikhail Miller accounted for four touchdowns against Southeast Missouri, and for his efforts, he earned his third-straight Ohio Valley Conference Newcomer of the Week honor.
Miller finished the game 30-for-45 for 292 yards and three touchdowns, while also rushing for 63 yards and another touchdown. He led the Racers on four touchdown drives after the half, helping MSU erase a 14-point deficit.
He led the Racers on a pair of third quarter touchdown drives. Midway through the third, Miller led a 12-play drive that ended with Miller's one-yard touchdown run. He also closed out the third quarter by capping a 76-yard drive with a 22-yard touchdown pass to Walter Powell.
Miller kept the momentum into the fourth quarter as he threw his second touchdown pass of the half, a nine-yard pass to Janawski Davis. Miller threw his final touchdown in the first overtime, hitting Powell on a 19-yard catch and run.
On the season, Miller is 154-for-231 for 1,498 yards and 15 touchdowns. He also leads the team with 388 rushing yards.
