Big Game Nets Kirby Honor

A career-night in Friday's season opener earned Murray State women's basketball's Keiona Kirby the first CollegeSportsMadness.com OVC Player of the Week of the 2013-14 season.
Kirby led the Racers in a 101-44 rout of Robert Morris-Springfield in the 2013-14 lid lifter with a career-high 25 points. The Jackson, Tenn., native was an astounding 10-for-15 from the floor in the game and 4-for-6 from 3-point range. She also tied a career high with four rebounds, to go along with a steal and an assist.
Murray State will wrap-up its first week of play Monday night when it travels to Evansville. Meanwhile, the first adidas® OVC Player of the Week awards will be handed out by the league on Tuesday afternoon.
