Lee Earns Second Straight Newcomer Honor

For the second time in as many weeks, Jashae Lee has earned adidas® OVC Newcomer of the Week honors, the league announced on Tuesday.
Lee got the first start of her MSU career Saturday in an 86-63 loss at Western Kentucky. The Rialto, Calif., native scored nine points and pulled down two rebounds in the contest. She also went 3-for-4 at the free throw line and added two assists, a steal and a block.
Through three games this season, Lee is averaging 9.0 and 6.7 rebounds per game. She is also shooting 37.9 percent from the floor, 71.4 percent from the charity stripe and is averaging 2.0 blocks per game.
On Thursday, Lee and the rest of the Racers will open a three-game home stand with Wright State. Tip-off versus the Raiders at The Bank is set for 7 p.m.
