Lee Earns 4th adidas® OVC Honor; Starks Nets 1st

For the fourth time in five weeks so far this season, Murray State women's basketball's Jashae Lee has been named the adidas® OVC Newcmer of the Week. In addition, Janssen Starks also picked up one of the three weekly awards, being named Freshman of the Week for the first time.
Lee turned in career-highs of 13 points and 14 rebounds for her second double-double of the season in a close loss at Big East opponent Xavier last week. She added six points and seven boards in a win over New Orleans to finish the week with 9.5 points and 10.5 rebounds respectively. The Rialto, Calif., native also shot 38.9 percent overall on the week and added two blocks and an assist.
Starks also had a career night at Xavier, as she went 7-for-11 from the floor to finish with 16 points and five rebounds. She ended the week by averaging 12.0 points, 4.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game, including six against New Orleans. The Murray native also turned in an even 50.0 field goal percentage last week, by making 10 of her 20 shot attempts over the two-game span.
Lee, Starks and the rest of the Racers will return to action after seven days off, Saturday at Alabama A&M. Tip-off from T.M. Elmore Gymnasium in Huntsville is scheduled for 2 p.m.
