Kirby Earns CSM Honor For 2nd Time

For the second time this season, Murray State junior Keiona Kirby has been named as the CollegeSportsMadness.com OVC Women's Basketball Player of the Week.
Kirby helped lead the Racers to two big wins last week by averaging 25.5 points and 5.5 rebounds. The Jackson, Tenn., native started last week with 22 points against Kennesaw State Tuesday, then poured in a career-high 29 points at Lipscomb Saturday.
She turned in an astounding 51.6 field goal percentage on the week, going 16-for-31 from the floor. In addition to a career-high eight rebounds Saturday, she also added five assists and four steals over the two-game span.
Kirby and teammates return to action Wednesday when they travel to Cincinnati to take on Xavier at 6 p.m. CDT.
