Meet The Racers Day Set for Saturday

Murray State Athletics will hold its annual Meet the Racers Day on Saturday, August 24 starting at 9 a.m. The event takes place at Stewart Stadium and is free to the public.

The Racer football team will sponsor a clinic for children ages 12 and under at 'The Track' (Stewart Stadium Field), starting at 10 a.m. Coaches and student-athletes from football will be on hand to greet fans, young and old, and be available for photographs. Senior members of the Racer Football team will sign autographs for all fans during the event. The MSU cheerleaders and Racer 1 will also be in attendance.

"Coach Hatcher, his staff and the players do such a great job with the clinic and meeting the fans," stated Paul Bubb, associate athletic director. "We encourage all children, both boys and girls, to attend this free event and get to know our team. It's also great to have the cheerleaders, dancers and Racer 1 all in attendance as well."

There will be drawings for free prizes, food and Pepsi products for those in attendance. Fans can also purchase tickets for the upcoming 2013 football season during the event.
