Culver's Scoopie Shoot-Around

Murray State University Athletics and Culver's of Murray have teamed up for a special post-game promotion that will allow kids age twelve and under to shoot like the Racers on the same court the Racers play on.
The Culver's "Scoopie Shoot-Around" will make its debut after the United Way White Out game Thursday (Jan. 23), when the Racers host Tennessee Tech. The Scoopie Shoot-Around will continue for remaining men's games this season for Jacksonville State (Jan. 25), SIU Edwardsville (Feb. 13) Eastern Illinois (Feb. 15) and Morehead State (Feb. 22).
After the buzzer sounds and the court is cleared, kids can line up in one of two lines and will have the opportunity to take a shot at the basket. Whether they make a basket or not, each participant will walk away with a token good for a free scoop dish or cone at Culver's.
"It was important for us to revisit this unique tradition at Racer basketball," stated Morris White, Director of Marketing and Promotions. "This type of interaction with our fans, especially our young ones, is what helps develop lifelong Racers."
Tip time is 7 pm Thursday when the Racers host Tennessee Tech at the CFSB Center.
