Cross Country Competes at Bradley Classic

The men's and women's cross country team competed in the Bradley Classic at Peoria, Illinois. The women competed in a 5k and finished 20th out of 30 teams, while the men competed in an 8k and finished 22nd out of 26 teams.
Megan Smith finished 68th with a time of 22:32.5, followed closey by Emma Gilmore with a time a 22:40.60. Caroline Grogan finished in 22:42.5 to finish 79th. Alicyn Hester and Leah Krause passed the finish line in 23:21.5 and 23:25.20, respectively. The women's team were rounded out by Emily Flaherty and Kati Heil who finished in 23:33.0 and 23:39.3.
The men's team was led by Cole Cisneros who finished in 26:39.6. Lucas Prather finished in 26:42.9. He was closely followed by Gavin Galanes who finished in 26:58.6. Mark Ventura ran in 27:07.2, while Evan Staviski ran it in 27:21.6. The team's score was finalized by Jarred Koerner and Neil Yockey who finished in 28:03.0, and 28:12.90, respectively.
The men and women will run next at the UE Invitational on Oct. 18.
