OVC Basketball Media Day-Kirby Preseason All-OVC

Murray State women's basketball head coach Rob Cross met with media from around the league today at the 2014 OVC Basketball Media Day at the Sheraton Music City Hotel in Nashville, Tennessee.
Cross spent the day answering questions from the local and conference press, taping interviews and promoting the 2014-15 Racers.
Also announced on Tuesday, were the results of the preseason OVC team on which Keiona Kirby was named. The senior guard led the Racers with an average of 18.3 points per game, while adding an average of 14.9 rebounds per game. Kirby had a .402 field goal shooting percentage along with a .778 free throw percentage. Had one double-double against New Orleans with 16 points and 11 rebounds. She scored a career-high 29 points at Lipscomb on November 30. In the Preseason Poll, MSU was selected to finish 9th by OVC Head Basketball Coaches and Sports Information Directors, while the media selected Murray State to finish 10th.
The Racers will kick-off their 2014-15 campaign on November 14 when they host Ohio at 5p.m.
