Murray State Athletics to Hold “Hotcakes for Heroes”

Murray State's Student Athlete Advisory Council has announced its "Hotcakes for Heroes" breakfast will take place Saturday (Feb. 22), from 9-11 a.m. in the CFSB Center.
The cost is $5 per person which includes pancakes, butter, syrup, sausage, and coffee, milk or juice. Guests are to enter the arena from Gate B.
The MSU SAAC is having "Hotcakes For Heroes" to raise funds for the Ohio Valley Conference initiative "Hoops For Heroes". In it's fourth year, the OVC "Hoops For Heroes" asks each member school to raise money to send a military service member from their area and their family to Nashville to enjoy the OVC Basketball Tournament.
The OVC Tournament at Nashville's Municipal Auditorium is March 5-8.
The honorees receive a two-night hotel stay in Nashville, up to four tickets to Friday and Saturday's tournament sessions, as well as gas and meal gift cards. Honorees are also recognized on court at Municipal Auditorium prior to the start of the men's semifinal session on Friday night, the women's championship game on Saturday, or the men's championship game on Saturday.
Special guests to the breakfast include Froggy 103.7 FM, who will have a live broadcast during the event. Murray State Coach Steve Prohm and the 2014 Murray State Hall of Fame Class will be guests on the radio program.
Copies of the popular "Banner Years" book that is a must-have for any MSU Basketball fan, will also be available for purchase as well as a unique opportunity to have it signed by the MSU Hall of Fame inductees and Coach Prohm.
