The Breds open the 2014 home season as they welcome Mid-Continent to Reagan Field on Feb. 19. First pitch is set for 2 p.m. This is the first of two meetings between the two schools this season. They will meet again at Reagan Field on Feb. 26.

The Breds and Cougars are meeting for the 11th time on the diamond. MSU holds a9-1 advantage in the all-time series. The Breds outscored MCU 26-2 in two games last season. The teams will meet again on Feb. 26

Familiar Faces in Other Dugout
The third base dugout will have a couple familiar faces as head coach Tyler Owen and assistant coach Daniel Calhoun return to where they played their collegiate baseball. Owen (2006-09) ranks ninth on the all-time hit list, while Calhoun (2006-09) was the school's first All-American in 2009.

As in four pickoffs for right hander Cameron Finch against Ohio. Finch picked off three runners at first and one at second in the first four innings.
Lawrence Delivers Game Winner
Freshman Tyler Lawrence made the most of his first collegiate weekend as he delivered the game-winning RBI single against Ohio. With the score tied the sixth, Lawrence hit the first pitch he saw to center field for the two-out game winner, scoring Kollin Dowdy from second.
Hargrove Goes Deep
Michael Hargrove made the most of his first hit as a Bred as he delivered a three-run home run to right field. He finished the game with four RBIs.
Top of Order Produces
The top three hitters in the Breds order produced heavily during the opening weekend. Ty Stetson, Matt McGowan and Anthony Bayus combined to go 8-for-20 with three RBIs and nine runs scored.
On Deck
The Breds continue their homestand as they welcome Bowling Green to Reagan Field for a three-game series on Feb. 21-23. The series is set for a 2 p.m. first pitch on Friday and Saturday, and a 1 p.m. start on Sunday.
