Murray State Drops Match at Nebraska

Murray State's rifle team dropped their final
MSU was outscored in both the smallbore and air rifle competitions.
The Racers top overall scorer was Bill Harvey who shot an aggregate score of 1153. Harvey and Kelsey Emme led the Racers in the smallbore with a 571. Harvey also shot a 582 in the air rifle.
In the air rifle, Tessa Howald fired a 583 to lead the Racers. She also shot a 567 smallbore and finished with an 1150 aggregate.
The Racers now turns their attention to the OVC Championships, hosted by Murray State. "We are looking forward to hosting the OVC Championships this weekend," said head coach Alan Lollar.
The Racers have won an OVC leading 10 conference championships since 1994. Jacksonville State has won the previous two OVC crowns and seven of the past nine.
The championship will take place at the Pat Spurgin Rifle Range Feb. 8-9. Competing teams include Columbus State, Jacksonville State, Morehead State, UT Martin and the Racers. The first event will be the smallbore competition Saturday, Feb. 8 beginning at 10 a.m.Â
