Winfrey Named All-OVC by College Sports Madness

After a stellar senior season, Jessica Winfrey has been named All-OVC by CollegeSportsMadness.com. The honor is part of the site's annual post-season awards that includes an all-conference team for every Division I conference and All-America teams at the national, high-major and mid-major levels.
The Marion, Ark., native averaged a double-double on the season with 10.8 points and 10.8 rebounds per game. She finished her senior year with exactly the same amount of points as rebounds, 306. The 306 rebounds will go down as the fourth-best single-season performance in the Racer history books and is the highest single-season total in 35 years. For her career, Winfrey scored 753 points and 821 rebounds, the sixth highest career total in MSU history.
Winfrey recorded eight double-doubles in 2013-14, giving her 21 for her career, the fourth highest total in program history. She also scored 20-plus points twice and pulled down 20 rebounds on three separate occasions, including her final game in which she notched the rare double double-double of 22 points and 20 rebounds.
