Racers Meet With Media at OVC Media Day

Murray State was picked to finish sixth in the 2014 Ohio Valley Conference preseason football poll announced Monday at the league's annual Media Day in Nashville. The preseason poll was selected by the league's head coaches and sports information directors.

Jacksonville State was selected as the favorite to win the league, followed by Eastern Illinois, Tennessee State, Eastern Kentucky and UT Martin. After the Racers, Tennessee Tech, Southeast Missouri and Austin Peay round out the poll.

The Racers are coming off a season in which they went 6-6 overall and 4-4 in OVC play. In head coach Chris Hatcher's four years at MSU, the Racers have never finished below .500 in conference play.
