The Murray State football team began their final week of preseason camp as they returned to the turf at Stewart Stadium Monday morning. Â
"First off, I think we started energy wise a little slow," said head coach Chris Hatcher. "I am not complaining about our effort, but I didn't think we had the juice we normally have at practice. But as practice went on and we got into more team periods, I was really pleased with the effort and energy."
The offense began to move the ball during bandit as wide receiver Jeremy Harness hauled in three passes that picked up big chunks of yardage. Running back Pokey Harris capped the first series with a five-yard touchdown runs.
The Racers will hold their final scrimmage of the preseason Tuesday at 8 a.m.
